Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 0-5 years of professional experience.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD modeling tools.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with others.
• Ability to travel 10%.

Responsibilities

• Use 3D solid modeling to design mechanical solutions for enclosures and fixtures.
• Perform structural, thermal, and other analyses to meet requirements.
• Optimize designs for manufacturability, cost, thermal performance, and assembly.
• Create and maintain cable assemblies/harnesses and peripheral interfaces.
• Work with various materials and fabrication methods including plastics, composites, metals, 3D-printing, machining.
• Define and communicate requirements to 3rd-party fabrication houses.
• Perform design verification and in-field testing support.
• Author assembly instructions and drawings for production.
• Aid with BOM management and fabrication artifacts.
• Review parts for obsolescence and identify replacements.
• Support project planning, execution, and oversight.
