Job summary

Hewlett Packard Co. in Austin, TX is seeking an experienced Mechanical/Hardware Engineer to drive mechanical designs for high-volume video conferencing products.

You will translate industrial design into functional prototypes, use 3D CAD, and oversee rapid prototyping, testing, and iteration to production-ready solutions. Collaborate with industrial design, ODMS, and other engineering teams, apply Ansys and FEA, manage thermal and mechanical systems, and mentor junior staff while expanding

Qualifications

• Four-year or graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Typical 7–10 years of experience in hardware development and design.
• Experience across hardware development lifecycle and production scale.

Responsibilities

• Translate industrial design concepts into functional mechanical designs and prototypes.
• Use rapid-prototyping techniques, including 3D printing, to test concepts.
• Develop mechanical designs for enclosures, assemblies, and thermal management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess system performance and tradeoffs.
