Job summary

DuPont is seeking a Mechanical Engineer in the United States to push flash-spinning technology from concept to scale across Tyvek® products. You will design experiments, solve problems, and work with a multidisciplinary R&D team spanning materials science, polymer science, chemistry, and mechanical/electrical engineering, giving engineers real ownership of programs.

Qualifications

MS or PhD in Mechanical Engineering with relevant industrial or R&D experience.
Strong fundamentals in mechanical engineering applied to equipment design, process development, or optimization.
Fluency in English and ability to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

Lead product and process R&D programs from concept through commercial implementation.
Design and run laboratory, experimental, and modeling studies and translate results into direction.
Own project plans, timelines, and cross-functional testing activities.
Communicate strategy, progress, and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels.
Partner with scientists and engineers to scale new technology into manufacturing.
Collaborate with external consultants and suppliers to accelerate objectives.
Build the IP portfolio through landscape assessment and invention identification.
