Job summary

Fuse Energy is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to own end-to-end mechanical design of pulsed-power machines, from concept through detailed design. You will collaborate with electrical, controls, and pulsed-power teams to turn requirements into hardware, drive design reviews, and stay hands-on through assembly and testing.

Minimum qualifications include a BS in Mechanical Engineering, 2+ years in CAD modeling with SolidWorks/Siemens NX, and proven FEA experience. Domestic travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required.
• 2+ years using SolidWorks or Siemens NX for CAD modeling.
• Experience in GD&T tolerancing and engineering drawings.
• Experience hosting design reviews and driving action items.
• Experience with weldment and sheet-metal design and fabrication constraints.
• 1+ years running FEA and validating results by hand calculations.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end mechanical design of pulsed-power machines from concept to detail.
• Gather requirements from electrical and controls teams to form mechanical designs.
• Coordinate procurement and manufacturing with vendors to meet specs and timelines.
• Lead design reviews and maintain drawing packages; iterate quickly.
• Stay hands-on during assembly and provide technical oversight.
• Oversee site work and field technical questions in real time.
• Support existing builds and guide iterations during testing.
