Job summary

Fuse Energy seeks an Electrical Engineer to push the boundaries of pulsed-power technology in support of fusion energy research. You will design, build, and test DAQ systems, design PCBs for control and diagnostics, and troubleshoot complex electrical assemblies.

The role requires hands-on lab work, embedded hardware design, and collaboration across teams. The ideal candidate has 1+ years in PCB layout, SPICE simulations, and control architecture development, plus willingness to travel between

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years designing PCB schematics and layouts (Altium Designer or equivalent).
• 1+ years simulating electronic circuits (SPICE).
• 1+ years designing control processes and systems (control architectures, sensing, actuation).
• 1+ years configuring and managing DAQ systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and test control and data acquisition (DAQ) systems for pulsed-power facilities.
• Design and assemble PCBs for control systems, diagnostics, and pulsed-power applications.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and analyze performance of electrical components, assemblies, and systems.
• Develop control architectures spanning sensing, actuation, embedded hardware, and data acquisition.
• Conduct applied R&D across electrical engineering, fusion energy, and pulsed-power systems.
• Write specifications and technical reports and support systems through build, testing, and iteration.
