Job summary

Jobtailor in Utah is seeking an experienced engineer to apply ASME processes to identify, design, and procure electrical and mechanical hardware. The role supports the Sentinel design review campaign and requires active DoD Secret clearance.

You will create 3D models and product definition packages using Siemens NX and PLM tools, collaborate with Systems, Software, Design, and Compliance teams, and perform trade studies and analyses.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain SAP approval within a reasonable period.

Responsibilities

• Apply ASME standard processes and procedures to identify, design, and procure electrical and mechanical hardware.
• Support design of integrated assemblies in accordance with decomposed requirements, compliance documents, and architecture diagrams to support the Sentinel critical design review campaign.
• Assist in trade studies, Analysis of Alternatives, and create design artifacts including 3-dimensional models and product definition packages documented and released using Siemens-based Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and modeling (NX) tools.
• Operate in and capture inputs from a multi-disciplinary engineering environment consisting of Systems, Software, Design, Compliance, and Hardware engineers.

Requirements

• Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need.
• Experience performing CAD modeling with design tools such as Siemens NX or similar.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft (MS) Word, Excel, Power Point, and Engineering - Scheduling tools and applications.
• Experience resolving issues and providing technical support.
• Capable of working under general supervision and in team environments.
