Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a top utility and power-generation client in the United States. You will provide engineering support for gas turbine facilities and Balance of Plant equipment, troubleshoot failures, and coordinate repairs and improvement projects with operations, maintenance, contractors, vendors, and OEM partners.

The role aims to improve equipment reliability and fleet performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Experience with gas/steam turbines and Balance of Plant systems.
• Experience supporting outages, commissioning, or startup.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Ability to review drawings, specs, and vendor docs.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical engineering support to gas turbine facilities and Balance of Plant equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and support planned and forced outages.
• Develop technical scopes of work and coordinate repairs.
• Lead or participate in RCAs, FMEAs, and reliability investigations.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with operations, maintenance, contractors, vendors, and OEMs.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders.
