Job summary

SEL is seeking a Mechanical Engineer (Multiple Levels) in Lewiston, ID to tackle plastic injection molding problems and tooling design, collaborating with R&D and production teams to improve part design and create reliable tools.

You will perform mold flow analysis, quote internal tooling, write mold specs, manage vendor designs, and mentor interns. A BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering and 2+ years of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• B.S. and/or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 2+ years experience in at least three areas listed above.
• Strong problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
• Ability to learn new skills and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Solve plastic injection molding problems with internal/external customers.
• Design tooling and write mold specifications, quote tooling, and manage vendor designs.
• Perform mold flow analysis (FEA) to inform mold design.
• Support documentation, design reviews, and continuous process improvements.
