Job summary

Navarro Research and Engineering is seeking a Mechanical Engineer in West Mifflin, PA. The position requires a DOE L Clearance (or DOD equivalent) and citizenship. Responsibilities include leading test programs, developing repair techniques, and drafting technical reports and subcontracted repair method development contracts.

BS in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years experience, or MS with 2+ years. CAD skills and data acquisition experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience, or MS with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Ability to develop and interpret specifications, drawings, and engineering standards.
• Familiarity with digital data acquisition hardware/software and CAD is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute test programs in lab settings and under subcontracting.
• Plan, design, and report technical designs, instructions and procedures.
• Develop, test, evaluate, and qualify repair procedures with vendors/shipyards.
