Job summary

Harmar Mobility seeks a Mechanical Engineer II to join our engineering team. You will develop mechanical and electro-mechanical lift systems, working with cross-functional groups to ensure manufacturability and reliability.

You will prototype, test, and refine products while aligning with safety standards and project timelines. The role requires 2+ years of industrial experience and a BS in Mechanical Engineering (ABET).

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in an industrial environment.
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (ABET accredited).
• CAD experience, ideally SolidWorks.
• Design control through DVT/DFM, DFMEA/PFMEA, FEA, GD&T, risk analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical and electro-mechanical systems for lift products, including prototyping and testing.
• Evaluate and optimize concepts for manufacturability, fit, function and packaging.
• Review engineering drawings with critical dimensions and specs (GD&T).
• Generate prototypes, perform tests, and ensure products meet specifications and schedules.
• Develop cost analyses for new concepts to maximize product value and mass production readiness.
