Under the US Army INSCOM GILE program, Team V2X provides: multi-disciplinary engineering; facilities; sustainment and maintenance of intelligence systems; integration of new technologies; portal management; hardware design; network management; technology development; and logistics support to various military and intelligence entities. We enable INSCOM’s mission of anticipating requirements and employing innovative techniques to support Soldiers, Civilians, systems, and facilities across multiple locations.

This position is contingent upon successful contract award to V2X.

Responsibilities

  1. 3D design experience in solid modeling programs such as SolidWorks, Unigraphics, or Pro-E is a plus.
  2. Provide professional engineering support for HVAC planning for contractor-supported locations and facilities.
  3. Support equipment within designated strategic, tactical, and mobile facilities or mission shelters, both inside and outside secure areas.
  4. Provide testing and balancing services for air and water systems.
  5. Review engineering design proposals, drawings, specifications, and technical documents, recommending improvements.
  6. Advise government engineers on all aspects of HVAC design, construction, operation, and maintenance.
  7. Review reports and studies to identify deficiencies and participate in construction or redesign planning.
  8. Utilize software and hardware tools to track load changes and other parameters related to design, construction, and maintenance.
  9. Establish energy and heat load budgets to identify deficiencies, anticipate future needs, and aid in construction planning.
  10. Evaluate and recommend load control methods to reduce utility demand and costs.
  11. Prepare design concepts, program development brochures, MILCON documents, cost estimates, and related construction documentation.
  12. Inspect construction projects or existing facilities for deficiencies, compliance, and improvements.
  13. Provide guidance and assistance to technicians in related disciplines.
  14. Maintain communication between on-site technicians and the COR.
Qualifications

Education / Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university with at least four years of experience.
  • Professional registration preferred.

Experience:

  • Knowledge of HVAC technologies and their operation within commercial or military facilities.
  • Experience in design, installation, operation, and maintenance of automatic control systems (Direct Digital Controls and Building Automation Systems).
  • Fluent in English, capable of reading, writing, and understanding technical documentation, schematics, and diagrams under ANSI standards.

Security Clearance:

  • Must be a US Citizen with Final Top-Secret Clearance based on a TIER 5 Background Investigation, and eligible for SCI access per ICD 704.
  • Some roles may require a Counterintelligence (CI) Scope Polygraph, especially for access to TDN2.
