Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Mid-level Mechanical Engineer to apply engineering physics, mathematics, and materials science principles to analyze and design mechanical systems across manufacturing, maintenance, or lifecycle stages.

You will work with CAD tools (SolidWorks, Creo, Autodesk Inventor), interpret drawings and specifications, and contribute to engineering tests, data analysis, and technical reporting while collaborating with team members and potentially mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in mechanical engineering.
• Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, or Autodesk Inventor.
• Experience with manufacturing, systems engineering, or product lifecycle management processes.
• Experience with engineering testing, data analysis, and technical reporting.
• Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, including statics, dynamics, thermodynamics, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of configuration management and engineering change processes.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical requirements.
• Secret clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or an Engineering field.

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering physics, mathematics, and materials science principles to support the design, analysis, manufacture, or maintenance of mechanical systems.
• Work independently with some guidance, and review or guide activities of more junior employees.
