Job summary

Stillpoint AEC is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with HVAC and mechanical systems design experience within an MEP consulting environment. The role involves leading design across a diverse project portfolio and collaborating with architects, owners, developers, and institutional clients.

You will develop layouts, perform load calculations, specify equipment, and coordinate with architectural, electrical, and plumbing disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• HVAC and mechanical building systems design experience in an MEP/AEC environment.
• Experience with load calculations, ductwork, piping, ventilation.
• PE licensure preferred; EIT considered.
• Experience with design software (Revit, AutoCAD, TRACE, HAP, IESVE, EnergyPlus).
• Knowledge of ASHRAE, IMC, IECC, and building codes.
• Experience preparing drawings, specs, and construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC and mechanical building systems including air distribution, hydronic and central plants.
• Perform load calculations and equipment sizing.
• Develop system layouts, ductwork, piping, and equipment schedules.
• Coordinate with architecture, electrical, plumbing, and other disciplines.
• Support schematic design through construction administration.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship as appropriate.
• Prepare calculations, reports, plans, specs, and construction documents.
