As a Mechanical Engineer you will support the GMD Weapon System (GWS) Hardware Engineering team's design efforts working within an Agile environment. Your core tasks will entail developing detailed mechanical drawings per ASME.Y14 standards and peer reviewing mechanical drawings. Additional responsibilities include maintaining design drawings for multiple Ground Systems (GS) IPT hardware systems and their interfaces with facilities.
Under the direction of your program leadership, responsibilities include performing analyses IAW industry and military standards. Develop design drawings, maintaining drawings, evaluating hardware design efforts, scheduling, and planning required tasks. Accountability and active participation in team meetings and internal/external demos, and documenting progress on team dashboards is expected. Generate engineering documentation including technical drawings, specifications, and test reports. Mentoring and cross-training junior engineers in analysis work, reviews, and approving their analysis results to meet customer requirements.
$98,900.00 - $148,300.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
