Northrop Grumman seeks Mechanical Design Engineers Level 2/3 to join our Ocean Springs, MS team in the Launcher Hardware group, supporting launcher hardware for Navy platforms.

You will design concepts, build solid models, and generate detailed drawings while coordinating with stakeholders and conducting trade studies to meet schedule and cost targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline with 2 years relevant work experience; or Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline with no relevant work experience
• Experience in machine design and drawing generation
• Ability to plan tasks and execute to the established schedule
• US citizenship required
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Clearance

Role

Northrop Grumman is seeking Mechanical Design Engineers Level 2/3 to join our team based out of Ocean Springs, MS. The Marine Systems organization, part of Northrop Grumman Mission Systems, is searching for Mechanical Design Engineers in support of rapid growth in the Launcher Hardware organization. You will have the opportunity to be part of an expanding team of dedicated engineers directly supporting the engineering development of innovative launcher hardware for weapons systems on a variety of Navy platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline with 2 years relevant work experience; or Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline with no relevant work experience

• Ability to plan tasks and execute to the established schedule
• US citizenship required
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Clearance

• Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline with 5 years relevant work experience; or Master\'s Degree in a STEM discipline with 3 years relevant work experience
• Experience in machine design and drawing generation
• Ability to plan tasks and execute to the established schedule
• US citizenship required
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CAD modeling (NX, CREO, SolidWorks, or equivalent)
• Experience in ASME Y14.5 GD&T Standard and ASME Y14.100 Dimensioning, Tolerancing, and Engineering Drawing Practices
• Experience in developing design concepts, performing trade studies, and conducting evaluations and analyses
• Strong background in machine design, strength of materials, and materials technology
• Experience in technical presentation
• Experience in production support
• Experience in working with vendors and suppliers
• An active US Government Secret clearance

Salary & Benefits

• Primary Level Salary Range: $72,100.00 - $108,100.00
• Secondary Level Salary Range: $89,400.00 - $134,200.00
• The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\'s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
• Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
• Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
