Are you a senior Mechanical Engineer and proven team leader with deep experience designing HVAC systems for complex healthcare facilities?

We’re seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineering Lead to join a multidisciplinary team in Houston, TX and lead high-impact healthcare projects focused on innovation, sustainability, resiliency, and energy efficiency.

Location: Houston, TX 77042

Work Model: Hybrid — 3 days onsite / 2 days remote

Salary: $131,000–$170,000

Education: Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering

What You’ll Do

• Lead mechanical design and multidisciplinary healthcare projects.
• Serve as Mechanical Lead/Project Manager, overseeing quality, delivery, commercial performance, and client relationships.
• Design complex airside, hydronic, heating/cooling plant, and specialty exhaust systems.
• Lead, mentor, and develop engineering teams.
• Support proposals, business development, contract negotiations, and work-winning initiatives.
• Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and code officials through project delivery.

What We’re Looking For

• Active US Professional Engineer (PE) license — required.
• 12+ years of building HVAC design experience.
• Significant healthcare project experience, particularly inpatient critical care facilities such as academic medical centers and specialty hospitals.
• Strong knowledge of ASHRAE, NFPA, LEED, energy efficiency, and indoor environmental quality.
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing large, complex client relationships.
• Strong commercial/business development and work-winning track record.

Preferred

• LEED Accreditation/WELL Certification and experience with energy modeling, whole-building analysis, façade thermal analysis, or airflow modeling.
