Qualifikationen

• Currently enrolled in or graduated from a Mechanical Engineering program.
• Experience with consumer products and user experience.
• Proficiency in Solidworks, Fusion 360, AutoCAD or similar.
• 3D design and drafting experience.
• Willingness to commit 20 hours per week or more.
• Hands-on experience with 3D printers and simple power tools.
• Ability to visualize product creation in 3D.

Aufgaben

• Assist with conceptual design and 3D CAD modeling.
• Create designs meeting project objectives.
• Maintain and upgrade 3D printers.
• Perform design validation testing of prototypes.
• Specify tolerances, materials, processes, heat treatment, coatings, BOM.
• Write documentation defining product performance and assembly outline.
• Translate field observations into design proposals.
• Research competing products and technologies.
• Collaborate with prototyping to enhance manufacturing capabilities.
