The role is part-time during the school year and full-time during the summer, offering hands-on design, documentation, and CAD work while supporting the power grid protection and monitoring products.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a BS or MS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering with 1–2 years completed, with experience in SolidWorks, MS Office, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS or MS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering with 1–2 years of coursework completed.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of MS Office applications or equivalents.
• One year SolidWorks experience or equivalent CAD software.
• Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, document, and 3D-print simple mechanical tools and fixtures.
• Design simple, custom, table-top automation equipment.
• Update SolidWorks models and drawings.
• Data entry of technical information into company databases (MS Access, Lotus Notes, SolidWorks).
• Follow mechanical development and quality assurance procedures.
