Job summary

TechDoQuest is seeking a Systems Engineer to join a multi-disciplinary team responsible for the design of custom industrial refrigeration and gas compression systems. You will perform calculations, select components, and build documentation to meet project requirements.

The role requires reviewing designs for compliance with engineering principles and codes (ASME, NFPA, IBC, etc.), developing P&ID diagrams, coordinating with mechanical engineers, and preparing equipment specifications for

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; 1+ year engineering experience.
Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts in writing and presentations.
Willingness to travel 5-10%.

Responsibilities

Review compression system designs for compliance with engineering principles, standards, and project requirements.
Consult with Project Engineer and Sales to determine compliance with customer specifications.
Review and interpret codes and standards (ASME, CRN, NFPA, AWS, IBC, etc.) for system compliance.
Make system component selections and generate P&ID; coordinate with Mechanical Design Engineers on standard products.
Perform calculations, design reviews with production, and develop custom documentation for project execution.
Review and approve production drawings; provide technical input to address questions and improve design and efficiency.
Prepare specifications for custom equipment and work with procurement for quotations.
Participate in cross-functional teams to drive continuous process improvements.
