Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in design, engineering, startup, commissioning of power generation or utility infrastructure.
• Experience with codes, standards, and good engineering practices for mechanical systems.
• Experience coordinating across multidisciplinary project teams in EPC/design-build/utility environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain mechanical design standards, specifications, and criteria for power generation and utility infrastructure projects.
• Lead mechanical design development from concept to issued-for-construction documentation including drawings, datasheets and bid evaluations.
• Coordinate natural gas utility interconnections and interface management with gas providers.
• Evaluate generation system performance, including thermal modeling and startup characteristics.
• Provide construction-phase engineering support, include RFIs, submittal reviews, and commissioning support.
