Job summary

Clark Nexsen, a JMT Company, seeks a Mechanical Engineer III to design and analyze HVAC, plumbing, piping, and related building systems for Commercial and Government facilities. Candidate must have 5+ years' verifiable experience and PE licensure in at least one state.

This is an in-office position. Responsibilities include design, analysis, client meetings, coordination with disciplines, and support through bidding and construction phases, with a strong emphasis on quality control and standards

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree in one of the listed engineering programs is required.
• Professional Engineer licensure is required.
• 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience designing HVAC systems for buildings.
• Active membership in NSPE, ASHRAE, ASPE or related organizations is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical engineering design, calculations, equipment selection, and layout for building systems.
• Meet with and present to clients.
• Coordinate with design team to integrate disciplines.
• Prepare project deliverables through design development and construction documents.
• Support bidding and construction phase activities including RFI responses and shop drawing reviews.
• Coordinate with commissioning professionals as required.
