Job summary

RFA Engineering is seeking an entry-mid level Mechanical Engineer II to design, develop, and integrate mechanical systems for powertrain, engine installation, and cooling applications. You will use CAD tools to create 3D models, drawings, and documentation while collaborating with manufacturing, quality, operations, and suppliers to deliver robust engineering solutions.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Electrical, or related field and at least 2 years of engineering experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field.
• 2+ years of engineering experience; internships may be considered.
• Experience reading engineering drawings, schematics, and documentation.
• Proficiency with Creo (or similar 3D CAD).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical systems for engine installation and cooling applications.
• Create and modify 3D CAD models, drawings, and documentation.
• Analyze designs for performance, manufacturability, reliability, and serviceability.
• Develop tubes, hoses, brackets, and mounting components.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on packaging and space allocation.
• Investigate issues, determine root causes, implement actions.
• Review data for design improvements and lessons learned.
• Support validation, simulation, and testing activities.
• Coordinate drawing updates and product releases.
• Engage suppliers to evaluate manufacturability and process capabilities.
• Present status updates and technical recommendations.
