The Raytheon Hardware Engineering Organization leads the mechanical hardware design, development and production of radar, sonar, torpedo, missile and combat system equipment. The mechanical team uses state-of the-art tools, processes, technology, and Raytheon’s CORE principles. The team’s capabilities encompass a broad range of technical disciplines which include engineering, manufacturing, technical services, materials, processes, analysis, test, and documentation.

The candidate will report directly to the C2 Hardware Engineering Section within the Tactical Radars and Land Based Effectors AUR (TRaLBEAUR) Department.The Department provides mechanical and hardware systems engineering expertise and provides support across locations in California, Texas, and Massachusetts. The candidate will report directly to a Mechanical Design and Production Support section in the department.The mechanical engineer position is to perform research, design, analysis, and development in such areas as mechanical systems, thermal systems, materials, test equipment, hardware processes, or manufacturing processes.

Qualifications You Must Have
  • Master’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • major obtained by start date.
  • Experience in developing mechanical subsystems documentation using CAD software.
  • Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects

The salary range for this role is 75,800 USD - 144,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
