Job description

Overview

Are you ready to build America's energy future? Form Energy is an American manufacturing and energy technology company developing cost-effective, multi-day energy storage to keep the electric grid secure and reliable during extended stress. We are focused on delivering energy storage for a better world and growing rapidly to meet demand with contracts across the United States and scalable manufacturing capability.

Working for Form Energy is a chance to be part of something extraordinary. We are assembling a team of highly talented individuals across the country, guided by our core values of humanity, excellence, and creativity, to transform the energy landscape.

Feeling energized to make a meaningful impact on the world? Then keep reading - you\'ve come to the right place.

Role Description

The Fluid Systems Mechanical Engineering team designs the gas and liquid systems that traverse battery cell, module, and full pack, forming the foundation of Form\'s utility-scale multi-day energy storage system. The Hydrogen System is crucial to the safe operation of iron-air batteries, safely managing hydrogen generated during battery use and optimized for performance, quality, reliability, and cost for high-volume manufacturing at Form Factory.

We are hiring a hands-on Staff Mechanical Design Engineer to own the design of subsystems within the hydrogen management system. This critical safety system supports the reliable operation of Form\'s iron-air battery technology. You will work on prototyping efforts across the company, driving a series of internal system prototypes and collaborating with chemical, electrical, and mechanical engineers to design, prototype, and test the storage systems. You will be responsible for design validation before final manufacturing release.

If this sounds like the right position for you, apply now. This opportunity will help shape and scale our multi-day energy storage system and contribute to a fast-moving company with breakthrough technology and a sustainable mission.

Relocation assistance is available.
