Echodyne seeks a Mechanical Engineer II to join our fast-growing team in Kirkland, WA, responsible for enclosure design, PCBA integration, and detailed CAD work. The role emphasizes thermal, structural, and modal analyses, plus collaboration across multi-disciplinary teams to deliver robust radar systems.

The candidate will manage vendors, support field testing, and contribute to PM processes, while leveraging SolidWorks for design and drafting and ensuring compliance with export controls.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering with 5+ years of experience.
• Proficient in designing electronics enclosures with thermal, electrical, and environmental considerations.

Responsibilities

• Design radar enclosure and PCBA integration.
• Create engineering drawings and CAD models.
• Perform thermal, structural, and modal analyses.
• Support integration and field-testing of MESA-based products.
• Conduct enclosure trade-studies and sketches.
• Perform detailed CAD design and hand calculations.
• Run FEA simulations and tolerance analyses.
• Tailor solutions to customer environments.
• Manage fabrication vendors from prototype to production.
• Implement Product Life Management controls.
