Job summary

Lam Research is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and define cutting‑edge mechanical and electro‑mechanical systems. You’ll perform feasibility studies, testing, and guide teams in detailed design and fabrication while shaping packaging strategies for our leading technology.

You’ll conduct structural, thermal, and dynamic analyses, prepare high‑quality reports, and collaborate with internal teams for procurement and assembly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; 2+ years experience.
• Advanced degree acceptable; graduate-eligible.
• Proficient in 3D CAD tools (CREO, NX, ProE, SolidWorks) and related software.

Responsibilities

• Support full life cycle of mechanical and electro‑mechanical systems from concept to productization.
• Design components using metals, ceramics, quartz, plastics, and coatings.
• Ensure documentation aligns with SEMI, Lam standards, and GD&T.
• Conduct structural, FEA, thermal, and fluid analyses to specify designs.
• Develop feasibility studies and test plans to validate performance.
• Prepare reports and presentations communicating design intent and validation.
• Collaborate with procurement and assembly teams.
