Epiroc Industrial Tools and Attachments LLC in Dexter, MI is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to lead design changes, new product development, and FEM analyses for high‑load, high‑wear applications. The role requires collaboration with global engineering teams and a focus on cost reduction and quality compliance.

You will develop weldments into cast components, create jigs/fixtures, and coordinate with suppliers on manufacturability, with 10% domestic travel.

Qualifications

• Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering with 4 years of experience, or Bachelor's degree with 6 years of experience in mechanical engineering for heavy equipment.
• Experience with tolerance stack‑up analysis, GD&T, CAD (SolidWorks) and FEA (ANSYS).
• Experience designing jigs/fixtures, electrical/hydraulic diagrams and schematics is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute design changes to improve performance and reduce cost.
• Lead planning, design, and execution of new product development projects per quality and regulatory standards.
• Perform FEA on welded structures and validate improvements with strain testing.
• Develop testing plans for welded steel structures, hydraulic circuits and wiring harnesses.
• Provide guidance to junior engineers and cross‑functional teams.
