Job summary

Mountz, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II to design, develop, test, and improve mechanical systems. You will create SolidWorks models, review ECNs, and optimize materials while coordinating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

The ideal candidate has a BSME (or MS) with 3–5+ years of experience, strong SolidWorks and GD&T skills, and a focus on manufacturability and continuous improvement. This role offers growth in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• BSME with 3–5+ years related experience or MS in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics.
• Strong design expertise with SolidWorks and PDM.
• Knowledge of GD&T per ASME Y14.5-2009.
• Proficiency in materials, heat treatment and fabrication techniques.
• Experience with machining operations (molding, forging, stamping, turning, milling, welding).
• Ability to apply technical skills to real-world problems and develop design/analysis approaches.
• Capable of planning and executing development of evolutionary products.

Responsibilities

• Creates, interprets, and corrects SolidWorks 3D models and 2D drawings.
• Reviews and signs engineering document changes through ECN procedures.
• Analyzes material selection considering costs and performance.
• Understands manufacturing needs and design for manufacturability.
• Prepares test, research and operational data and translates into procedures.
• Interprets test data to ensure design meets specifications.
• Collaborates with vendors, customers and staff to meet design goals.
