Job summary

Starkey is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II – Continuation Engineering at our Eden Prairie, MN headquarters. The role executes mechanical CERs, designs production tooling, and verifies changes to maintain product integrity and regulatory compliance.

The engineer collaborates with CE, Electrical, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to improve quality, reduce costs, and scale production while ensuring CE documentation and design controls are followed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 1+ years of relevant engineering experience in product development or manufacturing; hearing aid or medical device preferred.
• Proficiency with CAD tools and MS Office; Creo (Pro-E) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute CERs—mechanical changes to released hearing aid products and assemblies.
• Design and maintain production tooling and fixtures using CAD; build and validate prototypes.
• Design verification and validation of mechanical changes; support DFMEA and validation cycles.
• Create and maintain CAD models, drawings, and ECOs; ensure design documentation compliance.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Electrical, Systems Verification, Quality, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing.
