Job summary

Monarch Quantum in San Diego, CA seeks a Mechanical Engineer 2 to help build our foundation from the ground up in a fast-paced startup environment. You will own complex mechanical tasks, from design through fabrication, with hands-on testing and documentation.

You will work closely with leadership, apply SolidWorks and ANSYS Workbench, and implement engineering practices to support growth and reliability across products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, physics or a related field.
• Experience with startup or technology company is desirable.
• Hands-on engineering with documentation and peer reviews.

Responsibilities

• Work independently and in a team while communicating with the manager and teammates; may mentor junior engineers.
• Execute complex engineering tasks involving planning, data collection and analysis with peer reviews and documentation.
• Ensure data quality, adherence to best practices, and clear communication through documentation.
• Grow competency through mentorship, curiosity and initiative.
