Vitesse Systems in Longmont, CO seeks a Mechanical Engineer II to design and analyze components and assemblies with a focus on structural integrity. The role requires collaboration with RF and Manufacturing Engineering to deliver manufacturable solutions for aerospace customers.

The candidate will perform static and dynamic analyses using NEi/NX Nastran and Femap, create documentation, and support production, testing, and R&D activities while adhering to ITAR/EAR guidelines.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related design experience in aerospace.
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related Engineering.
• SolidWorks or CAD experience desired.
• NEi/NX Nastran, Femap, or similar analysis software experience.
• Familiarity with composite structural design and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Design hardware based on customer specifications using SolidWorks.
• Collaborate with RF, Manufacturing, and Production for manufacturability.
• Perform static and dynamic analyses (modal, static, random vibration, thermoelastic) using NEi/NX Nastran and Femap.
• Create and maintain documentation associated with design and analysis.
• Review drawings using GD&T and perform tolerance stack-up analysis when required.
• Support production, testing, R&D, and proposals with engineering input.
