Job summary

Vitesse Systems in Longmont, Colorado is seeking a Mechanical Engineer I to design and analyze components and assemblies with a focus on structural integrity. You will collaborate with RF and Manufacturing Engineering to deliver manufacturable products for multiple customers.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering, CAD experience with SolidWorks, and familiarity with NEi Nastran and Femap for static and dynamic analyses.

Qualifications

• B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• SolidWorks or similar CAD experience desired.
• EPDM experience is a plus.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems is desired.

Responsibilities

• Communicate technical information internally with various departments
• Design hardware based on customer specifications using SolidWorks
• Perform static and dynamic analyses (modal, static, vibration) on designed hardware based on customer specifications using NEi Nastran and Femap
• Create and maintain proper documentation associated with the design and analysis of the hardware
• Support production and test of the hardware
• Review and approve drawings using GD&T
• Adhere to government regulations, industry standards, and internal guidelines to produce quality hardware in a quality setting
• Participate in continuing process improvement
• Demonstrate company core values
• Other duties as assigned
