Job summary

JR Automation, a Hitachi Group Company, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II to join our Greenville, SC team. You will contribute to the design, development, and execution of innovative automation solutions that help customers solve manufacturing challenges.

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, 3+ years’ experience, and CAD skills in SolidWorks, Creo, NX, or AutoCAD. Travel up to 25% is required; on-site work with a strong engineering team is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years’ work experience as a Mechanical Engineer.
• Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, NX, AutoCAD.
• FE Exam or EIT desirable.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and practical problem solving.

What You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, Associate’s degree (2-year) with experience from accredited program (ABET/EAC), or equivalent relevant professional experience.




• 3+ years’ work experience as a Mechanical Engineer




• Experienced with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, NX, AutoCAD)




• FE Exam, or EIT desirable




• Proficient in the application of standard and advanced engineering principles, practices, and procedures




• Breadth and depth of experience to enterprise engineering problems




• Relies on extensive experience and judgment to accomplish tasks




• Able to quickly recognize and fix common engineering problems based on experience, including review and critique of others’ work




• Current or prior JR Automation experience, or experience in the automation industry is strongly preferred.




• Travel required up to 25% including overnight and international
