Job summary

RTX is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for the Test Solutions Engineering team, onsite in Tucson, AZ. You will design and develop mechanical test systems, integrate them into production and field environments, and contribute to all phases of the design lifecycle from concept to prototyping and troubleshooting.

These test solutions are pivotal in supporting the lifecycle of weapon system products, from engineering development and production environments to field operations and long-term sustainment. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and developing mechanical solutions for advanced test systems. This hands‑on opportunity involves conceptualizing, designing, and implementing mechanical systems that integrate with state‑of‑the‑art technologies. What You Will Do

Qualifications

• You Must Have Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
• Experience using Computer Aided Design (CAD) software, such as CREO or equivalent
• Experience with mechanical hardware documentation or drawing standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Model Based Engineering (MBE) or Model Based Design (MBD)
• Previous experience in a production or aerospace testing environment
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills applied to mechanical malfunctions
• Ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative, cross‑functional team environment

Salary

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
