Job summary

McClure Engineering seeks a Mechanical Engineer to join a team delivering projects for complex buildings, data centers and campus systems. You will coordinate with disciplines, perform field investigations, and develop load calculations, equipment sizing and system diagrams under supervision.

The role emphasizes collaboration, continued learning, and engineering excellence grounded in math and science. Hybrid remote options and a strong benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 0–2 years of mechanical design experience, HVAC/plumbing focus preferred.
• Cumulative GPA 3.3+.
• Experience selecting equipment and troubleshooting systems is preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office; Bluebeam helpful but not required.
• Ability to read 2D and 3D drawings.

Responsibilities

• Solve complex design/construction problems during projects.
• Perform energy and load calculations, airflow, and equipment sizing.
• Collaborate with drafters/designers on construction documents.
• Research equipment and select appropriate options for projects.
• Conduct field inspections to verify site conditions.
• Work independently with sound judgment; communicate with stakeholders.
• Build relationships through networking and company activities.
