Xcel Energy is seeking an Entry Engineer to develop technical expertise in a focused area and support smaller projects under supervision. The role emphasizes learning, applying standard engineering principles, and contributing to design and testing activities.

As you gain proficiency, you may supervise interns and coordinate with other teams while advancing through engineering levels within the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from ABET accredited curriculum; mechanical preferred.
• EIT/FE certification is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uses technical standards, theories, concepts to perform assignments of limited scope.
• Supports development of technical documentation and procedures.
• Provides ongoing technical support for project activities in Operations, Maintenance, Testing, and Regulatory areas.
• Coordinates projects or portions of projects under supervision.
• Assists in bid/evaluation processes with basic analysis and calculations.
