Job summary

ELLWOOD Crankshaft Group (ECG) in Hermitage, PA is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design large crankshafts and oversee manufacturing processes in a high-precision environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 3–5 years of experience in mechanical design and manufacturing, preferably in crankshaft or large component manufacturing
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
• Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and machining techniques
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong communication and project management skills

Responsibilities

• Design and Development: Collaborate with engineering to design large crankshafts meeting performance specs; create detailed 3D models and drawings; conduct simulations and stress analysis.
• Manufacturing Oversight: Oversee manufacturing processes, ensure quality standards and production schedules; troubleshoot with production teams; implement process improvements to boost efficiency and reduce waste.
• Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain QC procedures; inspect finished products; analyze data and produce reports on performance and quality metrics.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work with cross-functional teams to achieve goals; communicate technical information to stakeholders at all levels.
• Project Management: Participate in project planning, define scope, allocate resources, manage timelines; monitor progress and milestones.
