Job summary

Woodward, Inc. in Loves Park, IL seeks a dedicated engineer to support the Actuator Specialty Valve (ASV) and Integrated Support Team (IST). You will work on assigned tasks, coordinate with other departments, and learn process improvements while building experience in related engineering activities.

The role is on the 2nd shift (2:30pm-11pm CT) with a 10% shift differential and participation in annual bonus programs, 401(k) match, stock contributions, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (BS) required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to solve problems and troubleshoot with basic analytical tools.
• Familiarity with standard software tools (Excel, solver software).

Responsibilities

• Support the Actuator Specialty Valve (ASV) and Integrated Support Team (IST).
• Execute assigned tasks to meet schedule and coordinate with other departments.
• Identify problems beyond current capabilities and seek expert input.
• Learn and apply process improvements and perform routine engineering tasks.
• Possibly run small component tests to support senior engineers.
