Job summary

LVI Associates is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our collaborative engineering team in Dallas. The role focuses on HVAC and plumbing design for diverse, high-performance facilities, with strong emphasis on coordination with architects and engineers.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and 3–7 years of mechanical design experience, preferably in an MEP environment. EIT preferred; PE licensure is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3–7 years of mechanical design experience, ideally in MEP consulting.
• Experience designing HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial/technical facilities.
• EIT preferred but not required.
• PE license or active licensure is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC systems for complex commercial and institutional facilities.
• Design plumbing systems including domestic water, sanitary, vent, storm, and specialty piping.
• Support fire protection system design and coordination.
• Perform engineering calculations, system sizing, and analyses.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Develop construction documents using Revit and other design tools.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and project stakeholders.
• Communicate project objectives and design solutions effectively.
