Job summary

Drummond Carpenter in Florida is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems across diverse projects. You will collaborate with clients, contractors, and project teams to develop effective design solutions using Revit and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities include coordinating with architects and engineers from design through construction, applying codes and LEED principles, and maintaining schedules. Travel for local and regional projects is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
• 2–10 years of experience in mechanical design for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) for communication and scheduling.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills; ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Engage with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to define project needs.
• Design HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems emphasizing energy efficiency and sustainability.
• Collaborate with architects and engineers from design through construction documentation and field inspections.
• Apply codes, LEED principles, and best practices to designs.
• Balance multiple project priorities and deadlines with organization.
• Utilize AutoCAD or Revit and Bluebeam for project design and communication.
