Job summary

Stillpoint AEC is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with current experience designing HVAC and mechanical systems for buildings within an MEP/AEC environment. Responsibilities include sizing, layout, calculations, and coordination across disciplines to deliver complex projects.

Applicants should have a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field, with strong proficiency in Revit/AutoCAD and energy modeling tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
• HVAC and mechanical building systems design experience in MEP/AEC environment required.
• Experience with load calculations, equipment sizing, ductwork, piping, ventilation, and related systems.
• PE licensure preferred; EIT candidates will be considered.
• Proficiency with industry software (Revit, AutoCAD, TRACE, HAP, IESVE, EnergyPlus) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC and mechanical building systems including air distribution, hydronic systems, central plants, heating and cooling systems.
• Perform load calculations, ventilation calculations, equipment sizing, psychrometric analysis, and energy calculations.
• Develop system layouts, ductwork/piping designs, equipment schedules, and control sequences.
• Coordinate with architectural, electrical, plumbing, and other disciplines.
• Prepare calculations, reports, drawings, and construction documents.
• Support project through design phases and construction administration.
