Job summary

Futures Consulting, LLC is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 4–7 years of experience to join our Nashville office. The role focuses on designing HVAC and mechanical systems for commercial and institutional projects, with emphasis on calculations and code compliance.

You will collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients, prepare construction documents, and contribute to project coordination and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 4–7 years of mechanical engineering experience, preferably in MEP consulting.
• EIT certification preferred; PE license strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and mechanical design software.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, ASHRAE standards, and applicable building codes.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop HVAC and mechanical systems for commercial and institutional projects.
• Perform heating and cooling load calculations, equipment selection, and system sizing.
• Prepare construction documents, specifications, and engineering reports.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients.
• Conduct site visits, review submittals, and provide construction administration support.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes and industry standards.
