Job summary

Sterling Engineering is seeking an experienced HVAC Project Engineer to design HVAC systems for commercial office and retail projects, with potential work on industrial facilities, laboratories, medical clinics and educational buildings.

You will perform load calculations using HAP, conduct field surveys, design ducts, select equipment, develop specifications and draft in AutoCAD, while reviewing codes and supporting projects through all phases of the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of HVAC engineering experience.
• Experience with commercial office and retail projects.
• Familiarity with ASHRAE, IMC, and IECC codes.
• Proficient in AutoCAD drafting and HAP load calculations.

Position Overview

Seeking an experienced HVAC Project Engineer to design HVAC systems for a variety of projects, primarily commercial office buildings and retail spaces. Additional project types may include industrial facilities, laboratories, medical clinics, and educational buildings.

This role will focus heavily on HVAC design engineering, including load calculations, field surveys, duct design, equipment selection, specifications, drafting, and code reviews. Candidates with experience across multiple project types are welcome, and candidates with management experience will also be considered.
