Job summary

STS Technical Services is hiring a Mechanical Engineer in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to support the design and development of heat processing and process cleaning equipment. The role targets engineers with 3–5 years of mechanical or structural design experience who can work with 3D CAD tools, develop detailed drawings, support analyses and validate systems through testing.

Under the Engineering Manager, you will apply mechanical and structural principles to create reliable equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• Three to five years of related experience in a mechanical or structural design environment.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks, Inventor or similar).
• Experience with 2D CAD tools such as AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Prepare final drawings from sketches, specifications and documentation.
• Develop layouts for systems, components and parts and create multiple drawing views.
• Identify dimensions, tolerances, materials and interfaces.
• Lead mechanical tasks on projects and oversee work of others as needed.
• Use CAD tools to complete engineering tasks and analyze designs.
• Plan and execute structural analysis activities and document results.
• Support test plans, configurations and validation activities.
