Job summary

Dynomax Inc in Wheeling, IL is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to design, build, and assemble cable harnesses and connector assemblies, collaborating with in-house machinists and outside vendors. You will develop drawings, create manufacturing processes, and contribute to project management from concept to production, applying SolidWorks and problem-solving skills.

Requirements include 2+ years in manufacturing engineering and a BS in Electrical, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering;

Qualifications

• 2+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Desire to work on both conceptual engineering and hands-on product development.
• SolidWorks experience: models, assembly, and drawings required.

Responsibilities

• Work with in-house Machinists and outside vendors to source components for production
• Project Management from conception to completion
• Design and build connector and cable harness manufacturing processes
• Work side-by-side with assembly technicians and members of quality in the assembly of connector and harness assemblies
• Effectively communicate with customers and vendors throughout the duration of the manufacturing process
