Parsons is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the Owner's Advisor team for the METC Recapitalization Program at Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston. You will manage risk, protect government interests, and support a high-profile Progress Design-Build program for five dormitory facilities serving up to 6,000 medical students.

Responsibilities include reviewing HVAC and plumbing designs, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring readiness for testing and operations.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited program.
• 8+ years of relevant building systems experience.
• Experience with HVAC/plumbing design review, construction support, mechanical utility systems.
• Ability to obtain unescorted access to JBSA Fort Sam Houston.
• Ability to communicate effectively, maintain records, collaborate across disciplines, and handle project information in approved systems.
• Ability to maintain a one team mentality amongst all stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Provide owner-side mechanical engineering review and construction support for dormitory systems and central utility plant interfaces.
• Advise on performance, maintainability, and readiness for testing and operations.
• Review HVAC, plumbing, thermal utility, controls-interface, and related mechanical design packages against requirements.
• Assess loads, capacity, redundancy, equipment access, maintainability, and high-performance objectives.
• Review MEP boundaries, connection details, tolerances, access provisions, and installation sequencing.
• Provide input on submittals, RFIs, proposed changes, nonconformances, and equipment substitutions.
• Coordinate mechanical inspections, testing, balancing, controls sequences, and commissioning.
• Support lifecycle alternatives, O&M requirements, training, asset data, and turnover verification.
