Job summary

Freese and Nichols seeks a Mechanical Engineer to join our MEP practice in Fort Worth, TX. You will support facility and building systems projects by applying standard engineering techniques and growing toward professional registration.

Responsibilities include heat load calculations, ductwork sizing, HVAC equipment selection, report drafting, cost estimation, and coordination with vendors and clients. A hybrid work schedule is offered with career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related
  • EIT
  • 1+ years of related experience
  • Familiarity with ASHRAE codes and standards and applicable building, mechanical, and plumbing codes
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Perform heat load calculations and related engineering analyses

As Mechanical Engineer, you will support facility and building systems projects by applying standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria while continuing to grow your technical capabilities and progress toward professional registration.

  • Support design of building controls and DDC systems
