Job summary

Qualifications

One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-11, applying advanced mechanical engineering design and construction techniques.
Experience developing design plans and specifications for structures and buildings.
Experience using CAD and BIM software such as REVIT.
Experience developing HVAC and related systems for complex construction, renovation or maintenance.

Responsibilities

Reviews, evaluates, and determines the adequacy of submittals from contractors under Government contracts.
Meets with contractors and agency representatives to establish materials, test, and commissioning requirements.
Evaluates technical data and methods of installation submitted by contractors.
Participates in A-E or D-B evaluation and selection to ensure design excellence and regulatory compliance.
Develops and maintains facility standard design documents with users and facility proponents.
