Job summary

Impulsespace is seeking a Mechanical Engineer (COPVs) to join our Vehicle Engineering Team in Redondo Beach, California. You will take ownership of the design, analysis, build, and testing of flight composite overwrapped pressure vessels.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 4 years of experience with composite materials, including designing and analyzing high-pressure systems. This is a full-time position with potential for long-term incentives and robust benefits.

Qualifications

• 4+ years’ experience working with composite materials.
• 2+ years demonstrated experience designing and analyzing COPVs.
• Strong knowledge of hand calculations for structural sizing.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, build, test, and document innovative COPVs.
• Automate COPV development and processes to streamline design.
• Support first article build through to production.
