Job summary

Material Handling Systems is seeking a capable Mechanical Engineer to drive project success in conveyor systems. You will develop mechanical requirements, study drawings, and release fabrication drawings while coordinating with multidiscipline teams to meet tight schedules.

You will mentor engineers, engage with customers to interpret specifications, and support project scope from concept through installation, ensuring compliance with contract documents and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in mechanical engineering and design.
• Three to Five years of material handling equipment experience, preferably within the conveyor systems industry.
• Experience with executing and supporting medium to large projects.
• Read, understand, and apply customer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop an understanding for the specific mechanical engineering requirements per project.
• Study and become familiar with the elementary system drawings.
• Create material purchase requests and release drawings for installation and fabrication.
• Coordinate with project management, purchasing, electrical engineering, and fabrication departments to meet schedule and budget.
• Provide technical interface with customer's project representatives and support vendors and field personnel.
